Josh DuBose, MS, PA-C:
Josh was born and raised in East Texas as the son of a football coach, a lifestyle that had him moving across the state with his family’s many job changes. Eventually, he settled in Howe, TX, where he graduated from Howe High School. Josh went on to attend Austin College in Sherman, TX, earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology. During his time at Austin College, he played NCAA Division III football for the Kangaroos and earned all conference honors as a fullback his senior year. He later pursued his physician assistant studies at the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, graduating in 2006 with a master’s degree. It was in Albuquerque that Josh met his wife, Gwendolyn, and they married in February 2006. Together, they have two teenage sons: Blake, a senior, and Samuel, an 8th grader, both attending Anderson-Shiro Junior/Senior High School.
Josh is passionate about reviving the “old school” approach to medicine, where he builds personal relationships with his patients and works in a clinic that doesn’t rely on high patient volumes to succeed. He believes in empowering patients to take control of their own healthcare, educating them on healthy lifestyles that enhance not just physical well-being, but mental and spiritual health as well. With a strong conviction that healthcare is often unnecessarily expensive, Josh is committed to offering affordable, common-sense solutions to medical care.
Outside of the clinic, Josh is a devoted sports fan, especially when it comes to high school and college football and Major League Baseball. He is involved in the Anderson-Shiro school community, serving as a member of the Athletic Booster Club and the AS Education Foundation board. He’s a dedicated supporter of all Anderson-Shiro sports and band activities. In his free time, Josh enjoys quiet moments with his wife, Gwendolyn, watching sunrises and sunsets from their porch, sitting in a deer stand during hunting season (mostly sipping coffee and enjoying nature), and spending as much time as possible with his best friend and wife.
